You’ve now reached the longest and most important section of your niche selection process. In this major step you’ll discover the recommended top niche selection tools with examples of how to evaluate, sort and choose a niche based on the results you find.
Lots of niche selection tools and techniques are covered in the series of articles which follow but don’t think that you have to use all of them. You’ll undoubtedly get better results the more tools you use but please, please do something to make sure you progress in your niche business building efforts and don’t spend too long choosing!
Work through the selection resources outlined in each specific article which all have a title which starts with “Niche Selection Tool….” and then revise your niche list accordingly removing any niche ideas that don’t meet the requirements shown.
Some people will tell you that you should work to strict numbers but based on the research the Dr Nitch Niche Marketing Center undertakes across over a thousand niche markets on a regular basis it’s clear that a single number doesn’t cut it and that there are more varied factors to check.
The sample niches we’ll be looking at are:
- Chocolate chip cookies
- Bass Fishing
- Dog Diets
- Vegan Shoes
- Dog Training
Of course your list of potential niches will be a lot longer than these sample ideas but we had to limit ourselves to fit the restrictions of each article but still give you enough examples for you to compare to.
Once we’ve been through each external resource together we’ll check the results for each potential niche and compare them against each other to help make a decision on which niche we’re going to take forward.
Once you’ve done all the tests you can use our niche assessment tools to help with the final selection process. You can find these tools within the “Choosing Your Niche” members area.
