Web 2.0: This is Internet technology that allows users to contribute to creation of content.

Web 2.0 Community: Describes a community online that is based on Web 2.0’s principles, like user generated content, interactivity and sharing.

Web Analytics: This is the compiling and analysing of information about the performance of your website. This can help with SEO, conversion rates and email marketing.

Web Crawler: This is also known as a spider. This is the software used by search engines to ‘crawl’ over the web to be able to create their page rankings for their search results. They help to provide quicker results.

Web Ring: This is a community or collection of linked websites that connected in a circular structure, often based on a similar niche topic.

Web Spider: This is also known as a crawler. This is the software used by search engines to ‘crawl’ over the web to be able to create their page rankings for their search results. They help to provide quicker results.

Web Traffic Analytics: This program tracks website clicks and traffic.

Webmaster: Someone who owns and /or manages a website.

White Hat Affiliate Marketers: This term refers to ethical affiliate marketers.

White Hat SEO: Describes methods of optimising your site for search engines. These methods could be any form of optimisation that is approved by the search engines.

Wide Keyword List: This keyword list develops laterally instead of developing into variations on one single keyword. This helps you to obtain a greater market segment at an acceptable price to push the market towards your page.

Widget: A term for a mini-program or application that performs one task, like displaying the weather or your daily timetable.

WYSIWYG Programs: What you see is what you get programs. These are programs that help you build a site without having to use code.
