Get Organized

You’ve arrived to start getting your niche marketing business organized – congratulations!

It might not seem that important but what you’re going to complete in this step will put you ahead and save you hours of time and frustration in the future.

But don’t worry, everything is very easy to complete and doesn’t take much time or tech knowledge to figure out.

Now, onto the good stuff!

In this step:

– Getting a Google Account

– Setting Up Google Drive

– Creating a Google Doc

– Thinking about your time invested

– Designating your business time

Task One – Get a Google Account

The first task to get organised is to set up your own Google Account. You need a Google account so that you can access the Google Docs and Drive tools which you’ll need to help you get organized.

If you’ve already got a Gmail or YouTube account then you’ve completed this task as your Google account is already set up!

If not, just click on the link below to get a guide on how to set up your (free) Google account.

Task Two – Create a Google Drive Account

Once your Google account is set up the next step is to create and open a basic Google Drive online storage account.

If you’ve already got a Google Drive account setup then you’ve completed this task.

If not, just click on the link below to get a guide on how to set up your (free) Google Drive account.

Task Three – Create a Spreadsheet

As you find new resources, niche ideas and product suggestions you’ll want to organize them so that they are easy to find and use as you get busier.

Record the ideas and site links you want to use in a spreadsheet so that when you need them later you can find them! We recommend a spreadsheet as it’s easier to organise, sort and manage your information.

As your ideas grow you will want to make separate spreadsheets and file folders for each project. This way, when you need to go back and find specific resources, images or bits of useful copy or code they are all in one place. But that’s for the future – for now just get a first spreadsheet set up so that you can capture what you find.

To help speed things up here’s a sample Spreadsheet you can download and use as your own. Or, you can set up one of your own design. The file is available in the three most popular formats – Microsoft Excel, Open Office or Google Docs.

We’ve included a Google Doc version as within your new Drive account you’ll find a suite of free online MS Office type tools. If you’re new to Google Docs we’ve included an extra bonus video below the three download buttons which shows you how to get started.

Please remember: If you use the Google Doc version this is a SHARED document so you will need to make your own copy using your own file name otherwise everyone else who views the shared document will see your changes. But don’t panic – we cover exactly how to do this in the two video guides below.

Task Four – Consider Your Return On Investment (ROI)

Your time is precious and is ‘money’ that you need to use carefully. When you first go through anything inside the members area such as one of the niche dashboards it may seem to take ages. However, once you get used to each resource it will become easier and faster with results and ideas flowing quicker and quicker all the time.

The other key element about time is not to waste it on unimportant tasks or roadblocks. If you find yourself being held up – ask for help or park the problem and move onto something else, anything else, that takes you one step further along your journey to success.

Task Five – Designate Your Business Time

|image5|

Real business success and niche expert status will only come if you’re serious about what you’re doing.

If you want to succeed you need to consider your business as a long term project and as part of this professional approach you need to find some regular everyday ‘business time’.

This is the time you shut out any distractions either electronic, human or animal and focus on completing the next step of your business building journey. This time can be five hours or five minutes just so long as you do it and do something!

Task Six – Get It Done!

|image6|

You may find yourself pausing, reviewing and thinking through each and every new step or piece of information you find as you start to explore your members resources and the ideas we share.

Do this for too long and this becomes procrastination and if you keep it up you’ll find yourself with an expensive hobby rather than a paying business in no time.

Review and reflection is important to make sure that you don’t make rash or expensive mistakes but the key, key thing is to not get bogged down in ‘analysis paralysis’.

Better to get it done, make progress, make mistakes and improve what you’ve already done rather than wait, wait, wait until it is a masterpiece.
